Glossary – LeSS
What Is LeSS?
LeSS (Large-Scale Scrum) is a scaling framework that extends Scrum with scaling practices. It doesn’t change Scrum, but is based on the same principles. The LeSS framework can be used to develop products with 2 to about 8 teams. The LeSS Huge framework is intended for larger organizations.
LeSS stands out due to its simple structure, as it builds on the functioning Scrum team. The individual teams are responsible for agile product development under the control of one single product owner. The product owner takes care of the central backlog, which is used by several development teams. The development teams or feature teams can process any backlog items from a central product backlog.
