Release
What Is Release?
Release means the release of a software product or parts of it that is delivered to the customer. In Scrum, it refers to releasing a product version after completing one or more sprints.
A distinction is made between major releases, minor releases and emergency releases. A major release includes new functions and changes to the system architecture. Major releases make bug fixes unnecessary and also replace minor releases and emergency releases. In contrast, a minor release contains individual enhancements and changes. Emergency releases, on the other hand, consist of corrections to individual conflicts or problems with high relevance.
