(Product-)Increment
What is (Product-)Increment?
The term “increment” comes from the Latin means as much as “enlarge” or “gain”. Transferred to incremental software development, this means that a system is planned as a whole, but implemented in parts.
A Product Increment is an executable, tested, reasonably documented, verified and approved version of the Product. The present product increment is therefore ready for use. The scope and the functionality increase with every new increment.
