cplace Day 2023 becomes the largest PPM conference in Europe
Munich, October 25th, 2023 – Expert presentations, networking and exchange: the 9th edition of cplace Day goes down as a milestone in the still young history of software manufacturer cplace. The hybrid B2B event not only attracted 500 participants on-site, but also achieved a record registration of 700 online participants. This establishes cplace Day 2023 as the largest project and portfolio management conference in Europe.
Eight hours, nine speaker presentations, a panel discussion and a lot of networking: the PPM conference cplace Day gathered leading experts and practitioners in the field of project and portfolio management for one day to shape the future of the industry. The event, held at Motorworld Munich, offered both in-house expert presentations and practical insights into the project management practices of well-known companies.
Citizen Development in focus
Most of the presentations focused on the use of Citizen Development, in which applications can be created in-house using no-code and low-code. Market leaders such as Audi, Porsche, Drees & Sommer, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, MTU Aero Engines and Roche showed in their presentations how they themselves became the creators of their own software solutions – and in the process made more collaboration, speed and innovation possible in their companies.
In his keynote address, cplace CEO Dr. Rupert Stuffer emphasized that the combination of adaptive technology and citizen development leads to more sustainable and successful software solutions in the field of project and portfolio management. These advantages contributed to cplace’s success last year, not only in direct competition with the major market leaders in the PPM sector, but also successfully against well-known platform providers.
The presentation by cplace COO Marvin Adami and Dr. Thomas Kugler, Head of Solution Engineering at cplace, also dealt with the topic of Citizen Development. They made it clear that its use can be a game changer for organizations, as it ensures more efficient processes and automated workflows, accelerates the development of new products or services, and frees up capacities in IT departments.
New cplace resource management app
cplace CTO Peter Röhner and Head of Product Navid Heidemann provided an overview of the latest innovations and features of the PPM platform in the “Product Update. The experts focused on the topic of “Flexibility by Design” and showed how cplace allows companies maximum flexibility in the use and further development of cplace. Among other things, they gave brief insights into the brand-new Resource Management, seven new Solution Templates (including numerous solutions around the SAFe framework), the Jira Connector, and new features of the cplace platform in the areas of Enterprise Connectivity, Frontend, Low- and Pro-Code.
Networking in focus
As in previous years, cplace Day placed a special emphasis on networking. During the breaks and at the get-together in the evening, conference participants had ample opportunity to exchange best practices, discuss challenges in the PPM environment, and establish new business contacts. Various cplace partners, who were on site at Motorworld to present their solutions and services, also contributed to the exchange.
Presentations available in the Content Hub
The video recordings of the individual sessions as well as the handouts of the cplace Day 2023 presentations are now available in the Content Hub on the cplace website. It will be open until mid-January.
